Kristina Wolin received her Bachelor of Fine Art in painting and drawing from the University of Akron with a minor in photography. She is from Rosepine, Louisiana and has been living in northeast Ohio since she was 16. In painting, Kristina trifles with the effects of intergenerational trauma in her family, while using quilting and painting processes. In photography, she explores the use of anonymity in snapshot photography and how it highlights the context around a fictional family.

She has won many grants and scholarships from the University of Akron, most notably the 2019 Folk Charitable Foundation Venice Biennale Travel Award and she was accepted into the 2018 Currents Artist-In-Residency at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.
